How honoured I was when Under the Cover wanted to feature The Journal in their special International Women’s Day piece! The Journal had only been released the month before.

Today I am reminded of all the amazing women who fought for women’s rights AND of today’s strong heroine’s who are doing just that for the women of the future. Canadian author and activist Deborah Ellis is one of these heroes. She is truly selfless, not only in her efforts to raise our awareness of the plight of many of the world’s children, but in taking action to stop these atrocities.

I’m so proud to say that Deborah Ellis is Canadian. She is an example to all of our young women. Thanks, Deborah!
